After their Saturday wins over Utah and Arizona State, respectively, the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers climbed up both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches college football polls that were released on Sunday.
The Ducks climbed up two spots to #10 in the former and up four spots to #9 in the latter.
The Beavers climbed up three spots to #22 in the AP poll and entered the Coaches' rankings at # 22.
At Mosaic Stadium, Regina, Saskatchewan:
The Toronto Argonauts blocked a field goal attempt and they defeated the two-time defending champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers 24-23 and won Sunday's 109th edition of the Grey Cup Final and won their first Canadian Football League championship since 2017.
At Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, Oregon:
Marcus Sasser scored 16 points as the Houston Cougars (5-0) topped the homestanding Oregon Ducks (2-2) 66-56 on Sunday.
N'Faly Dante topped the Ducks with 16 points.
At Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, Qatar:
In Sunday's opening game of FIFA World Cup group-stage play, Enner Valaencia scored twice (PK-16', 31') as Ecuador defeated host country Qatar 2-0 in a Group A match.

The Saturday Welsh Premier League contest between hosts Panybont and The New Saints resulted in a 0-0 stalemate.
At Canadian Tire Centre, Kanata, Ontario:
Yegor Sharangovich and Michael McLeod each scored and assisted once while Akira Schmid saved 25 of 26 shots as the New Jersey Devils (15-3-0, 30 points) picked up their 12th consecutive victory on Saturday, 5-1 over the homestanding Ottawa Senators (6-10-1, 13 points).
At Moda Center at the Rose Garden, Portland, Oregon:
Jordan Clarkson scored 28 points, including eight straight in the final 1:48 to lead the Utah Jazz (12-6) past the homestanding Portland Trail Blazers (10-6) 118-113 on Saturday night.
Malik Beasley scored 29 points off the bench while Lauri Markkanen added 23 to the Utah coffers.
Six Blazers, led by Anfernee Simons with 23 points (to go with eight rebounds and seven assists), including all five starters, scored in double figures.
At Earle A. Chiles Center, Portland, Oregon:
Cameron Tyson scored 18 points to guide the Seattle Redhawks (4-0) past the homestanding Portland Pilots (4-2) 80-68 on Saturday.
Tyler Robertson paced the Pilots with 22 points and eight rebounds.
At Gill Coliseum, Corvallis, Oregon:
Jorell Saterfield scored a career-high 26 points on Saturday as the Portland State Vikings (2-2) picked up their first-ever victory over the Oregon State Beavers (3-1) 79-66.
Glenn Taylor, Jr. topped the Beavers with 25 points.
At Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Oregon:
Quarterback Bo Nix threw for 287 yards and a touchdown on Saturday as the Oregon Ducks (# 12 CFP; 9-2 overall, 7-1 in Pac-12 play) defeated the visiting Utah Runnin' Utes (#10 CFP; 8-3, 6-2) 20-17.
At Sun Devil Stadium, Frank Kush Field, Tempe, Arizona:
Quarterback Ben Gulbranson completed 16 of 22 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown (while running for another TD) while running back Damien Martinez carried the ball 23 times for 138 yards and three scores on Saturday as the Oregon State Beavers (#23 CFP; 8-3 overall, 5-3 in Pac-12 play) overpowered the homestanding Arizona State Sun Devils (3-8, 2-6) 31-7.

Chris McKee (28') and Jimmy Callacher (51') each scored once as Linfield blanked hosts Ballymena United 2-0 in Northern Irish Premiership action.
At Clune Arena, Colorado Springs, Colorado:
Tyler Robertson scored 15 points on Thursday as the Portland Pilots (4-1) knocked off the homestanding Air Force (1-3) 64-51.
At Scotiabank Arena, Toronto:
Yegor Sharangovich scored 57 seconds into overtime on Thursday as the New Jersey Devils picked up their eleventh consecutive victory, 3-2 on the road over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The winning streak is tied for the second longest in franchise victory.
At Moda Center at the Rose Garden, Portland, Oregon:
Royce O'Neill scored on a tip-in with 0.7 seconds remaining to complete a triple-double (11 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) and carry the Brooklyn Nets (7-9) to a 109-107 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers (10-5) on Thursday.
Kevin Durant paced the Nets with 35 points (while grabbing eight rebounds) while Yuta Watanabe came off the bench to add 20.
Damian Lillard topped the Blazers with 25 points (while dishing out 11 assists) while Anfernee Simons added 24 and Shaedon Sharpe (off the bench) 20.
These were the five selections made in last Friday's Major League Soccer expansion draft by St. Louis City SC, who will play its' inaugural season in 2023.

In Tuesday's revealing of the College Football Playoff Rankings, the same foursome, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, and TCU occupied the same four spots with Tennessee at #5 and LSU at #6.
Like the Bayou Bengals, Southern California climbed up a spot, to #7.
Utah climbed up three spots to #10 while the Oregon Ducks fell six spots to #12, UCLA dropped four spots to #16, Washington climbed up eight spots to #17, and the Oregon State Beavers re-entered the rankings at #23.

Jack Hughes scored twice as the New Jersey Devils (13-3-0, 26 points) overpowered the homestanding Montreal Canadiens (8-7-1) 5-1 on Tuesday for their tenth consecutive victory.
Goalie Vitek Vanecek stopped 25 of 26 shots for the red-hot Devils, now riding the third longest winning streak in franchise history.

Jerami Grant scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds on Tuesday as the Portland Trail Blazers (10-4) defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs (6-9) 117-110,
Anfernee Simons added 23 points and Damian Lillard 22 (to go with his 11 assists) to the Blazers' coffers.
Jokob Poeltl led the Spurs with 31 points while pulling down 14 boards; Devin Vassell added 21 and Keldon Johnson 20.
At Gill Coliseum, Corvallis, Oregon:
Glenn Taylor, Jr. scored 19 points as the Oregon State Beavers (3-0) defeated the NAIA Bushnell University Beacons 83-66.
Bushnell's Spencer Hoffman led all scorers with 27 while grabbing 11 rebounds.
The three victories match Oregon State's entire 2021-22 total.

Kel'el Ware scored 16 points off the bench as the Oregon Ducks (2-1) used what was more or less a balanced offense in smacking the visiting Montana State Bobcats (1-2) 81-51.
Raequan Battle paced the Bobcats with 20 points.
Both divisional finals in the Grey Cup Playoffs took place on Sunday.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for two touchdowns and nearly 300 yards as the Toronto Argonauts defeated the visiting Montreal Alouettes 34-27.

Zach Collaros completed 14 of 20 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the visiting British Columbia Lions 28-20 play for their third straight Grey Cup championship.

They would be tied for 33rd place (with Ohio State and Iowa) in the former and in 30th place in the latter.
No support for Oregon State, Portland, or Portland State in either poll.
