FIFA World Cup: Samba Boys, Portugal Advance To Knockout Stage; Ghana Wins; Cameroon And Serbia Draw

 The second cycle of FIFA World Cup group-stage games concluded on Monday with four games contested in Qatar.


GROUP G:


At Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah:


Jean-Charles Castelletto (29'), Vincent Aboubakar (63'), and Jean-Eric Choupo-Moting (66') each scored once as Cameroon gained a 3-3 draw with Serbia.


Strahinja Pavlovic (45'+1), Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (45'+3), and Aleksandar Mitrovic (53') each scored once for the Balkan country.


At Stadium 974, Doha:


Carlos Henrique Casemiro scored the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute as Brazil locked up a berth in the knockout stage with their 1-0 victory over Switzerland.

Bruno Fernandes scored twice (54', 90'+3) as Portugal clinched a berth in the knockout stage after blanking Uruguay 2-0.
