FIFA World Cup: Spain, Germany Draw; Ticos, Morocco, Croatia Win On Sunday; Canada Eliminated

 Four games were contested in World Cup group-stage play in Qatar on Sunday.


GROUP E:


At Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan:


Keysher Fuller scored the only goal of the match in the 81st minute as Costa Rica defeated Japan 1-0.


At Bayt Stadium, Al Khor:


Niclas Fullkrug's equalizer in the 83rd minute lifted Germany to a 1-1 draw with Spain.


Alvaro Morata scored for the Spaniards in the 62nd minute.

Andrej Kramaric scored twice (36', 70') as Croatia eliminated Canada with a 4-1 victory.


Alphonso Davies scored Canada's first-ever World Cup goal in the second minute.
