Cody Gakpo (26') and Frenkie de Jong (49') each scored once as the Netherlands blanked hosts Qatar 2-0.

At Al Thumama Stadium, Doha:
Christian Pulisic scored the lone goal of the match in the 38th minute as the United States defeated Iran 1-0 and joined the Three Lions in advancing to the knockout stage.
