148TH KENTUCKY DERBY: 80-A SHOT RICH STRIKES PULL MAJOR UPSET
At Churchill Downs, Louisville, Kentucky:
In Saturday's 148th running of the Kentucky Derby, 80-1 shot Rich Strike, who had replaced Ethereal Real, who had been scratched on Friday, surged from behind to overtake favorite Epicenter to pull off one of the biggest upsets in the history of The Run For The Roses as Zandon finished third.
Rich Strike became the second biggest underdog to ever win the Derby.
Jockey Sonny Leon won his first Derby.
1913 winner Donerail holds the record of the longest odds at 91-1.
Giants Dominate Cardinals, End Losing Streak
At Oracle Field, San Francisco:
Wilmer Flores slugged a grand-slam homer while producing six runs batted in on Saturday as the San Francisco Giants (15-12) snapped their five-game losing skid by overpowering the visiting St. Louis Cardinals (16-11) 13-7.
Timbers Gain 1-1 Road Draw With Red Bulls
At Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey:
The Portland Timbers gained a Saturday 1-1 Major League Soccer road draw with the New York Red Bulls.
Jaroslav Niezgoda scored the Timbers' first goal in a month in the 53rd minute and Aaron Long (a former Portland draft pick) equalized for the Bulls in minute #67.
NBA Playoffs: Bucks, Warriors Take 2-1 Series Leads
The quarterfinal round of the NBA Playoffs continued on Saturday with two games.

At Milwaukee:
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 42 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out eight assists as the Milwaukee Bucks posted a frantic 103-101 game three home victory over the Boston Celtics for a two-games-to-one conference semifinal series lead.
Jrue Holiday added 25 points to the Bucks' coffers.
Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 27 points (to go with his 12 rebounds) while Al Horford 22 (while grabbing 16 boards).
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At San Franciso:
Stephen Curry scored 30 points while Jordan Poole added 27 off the bench as the Golden State Warriors smothered the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 142-114 to take a two-games-ot-one series advantage.
Klay Thompson added 21 points to the Warriors' coffers.
Before leaving the game with a knee injuries, Ja Morant scored 34 points to lead the Grizzlies.
Stanley Cup Playoffs: Avs One Way Away From Finishing Off Predators; Caps, Penguins, Stars Take 2-1 Series Leads
The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued with four Saturday games.

Ilya Samsonov saved 29 of 30 shots while Alex Ovechkin scored on the power play and assists on T.J. Oshie's power-play tally as the Washington Capitals declawed the visiting Florida Panthers 6-1 in game three to lead their conference quarterfinal series two games to one.
At Pittsburgh:
Evan Rodrigues and Jeff Carter each scored twice as the Pittsburgh Penguins outslugged the visiting New York Rangers 7-4 in game three of their series, which Pittsburgh now leads two games to one.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Nashville, Tennessee:
Gabriel Landeskog scored in the second period as the Colorado Avalanche knocked off the Nashville Predators 7-3 on the road in game three of their series, which Denver now leads three games to none.
The Avalanche can close out the Predators on Monday with a game-four win in Nashville.
At Dallas:
Joe Pavelski scored twice as the Dallas Stars took a two-games-to-one opening-round series lead over the Calgary Flames with a 4-2 game-three victory at home.
