Timbers Dominate Austin To Close Out Regular Season, Host Loons In Opening Round of MLS Cup Playoffs

 At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon:


Cristhian Paredes (17') Jaroslaw Niezgoda (45'), and Sebastian Blanco (53') each scored once and Steve Clark turned in a shutout performance on Sunday as the Portland Timbers closed out their Major League Soccer regular season by dominating visiting Austin FC 3-0 for their club record (MLS era) 17th victory.


The Timbers will host Minnesota United in an opening round MLS Cup Playoff game (date, time, and network to be determined).
