Giants Top Cardinals To Stretch Winning Streak To Six

Logan Webb pitched six innings of one-run baseball on Friday while Curt Casali hit a home run during an eighth-inning five-run barrage as the San Francisco Giants (20-12) posted their sixth straight victory, 8-2 over the homestanding St. Louis Cardinals (17-15).

The NBA Playoffs continued on Friday with two games.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Milwaukee:
Jayson Taylor scored 46 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Boston Celtics knocked off the hosts Milwaukee Bucks 108-95 in game six of their conference semifinal series, now deadlocked at three games apiece.
Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart each added 21 points to the Celtics' coffers.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 40 points and 20 rebounds.
The series will conclude on Sunday in Boston.
At San Francisco:
Klay Thompson scored 30 points (and grabbed eight rebounds) while Stephen Curry added 29 (and seven boards) as the Golden State Warriors outscored the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 32-19 in the fourth quarter en route to a series-clinching 110-96 game-six victory to end the Grizzlies' season four games to two.
The Warriors will next play the winner of the Phoenix-Dallas series (currently stalemated at three games apiece) in the Western Conference finals.
Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane topped the Ja Morant-less Griz with 30 and 25 points, respectively.
Stanley Cup Playoffs: Panthers Close Out Caps In DC; Penguins, Stars Force Game 7s
The Stanley Cup Playoffs' opening round continued with three Friday games.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Washington:
Carter Verhaeghe scored the game-winning goal at 2:46 of overtime as the Florida Panthers won their first playoff series since 1996 as the upended the Washington Capitals 4-3 on the road in game six of their conference quarterfinal series and took out the Caps four games to two.
At Pittsburgh:
Chris Kreider scored twice as the New York Rangers deadlocked their series with the Pittsburgh Penguins at three games apiece after their 5-3 game-six road victory.
The series is set to conclude on Sunday in New York.
At Dallas:
Miro Heiskanen scored the critical go-ahead goal late in the second period while Jake Oettinger saved 36 of 38 shots as the Dallas Stars stalemated their series at three games apiece after stifling the visiting Calgary Flames 4-2 in game six.
The series will be decided on Sunday in Calgary.
