MLS: Fire, Revs, Herons, LAFC, Loons, Galaxy, Caps, Quakes Come Out On Top On Wednesday; Hoops Eliminated From Playoff Contention

12 games were contested in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.


At Atlanta:


Gudmundur Thorarinsson's equalizer in the 90th minute lifted New York City to a 1-1 road draw with Atlanta United.


Marcelino Moreno talled for the Five Stripes in the 17th minute.


At Cincinnati:


Robert Beric scored twice (14', 17') while Luka Stojanovic scored the game winner in the third minute of second-half stoppage time as the Chicago Fire outlasted FC Cincinnati 4-3 on the road in a battle of already-eliminated Western Conference rivals.


At Washington:


Gustavo Bou scored the winning goal in the 79th minute as the New England Revolution inched closer to locking up the Supporters' Shield after knocking off hosts DC United 3-2.


At Fort Lauderdale, Florida:


Federico Higuain (10'), Christian Makoun (45'), and Eriq Zavaleta (OG-61') each scored once as Inter Miami ended a six-game losing streak and kept their flickering playoff chances alive after blanking visiting Toronto FC 3-0.


At Orlando, Florida:


Rudy Camacho's equalizer at 51 minutes lifted CF Montreal to a 1-1 road draw with Orlando City.


Chris Muller scored for the Lions in the 45th minute.


At Frisco, Texas:


A hat trick from Cristian Arango (PK-33', 75', 79') carried the Los Angeles Football Club to a 3-2 road victory over FC Dallas, eliminating the Hoops from playoff contention.


At Saint Paul, Minnesota:


Franco Fragapane scored the winning goal in the 67th minute as Minnesota United held off the visiting Philadelphia Union 3-2.


At Houston:


Sacha Kljestan (PK-39'), Zarek Valentin (OG-45'+1), and Kevin Cabral (47') each scored once as the Los Angeles Galaxy dominated the Houston Dynamo 3-0 on the road.


At Nashville, Tennessee:


Hany Mukhtar's equalizer in the 77th minute carried Nashville SC to a 1-1 home draw with Columbus.


Lucas Zelarayan scored for the Crew in the 75th minute.


At Commerce City, Colorado:


Cristian Roldan scored in the 81st minute to lift the Seattle Sounders to a 1-1 road draw with the Colorado Rapids.


Dominique Badji scored for the hosts in the 66th minute.


At Portland, Oregon:


Second-half goals courtesy of Deiber Caicedo (63'), Brian White (75'), and Cristian Dajome (PK-82') enabled the Vancouver Whitecaps to come back from a two-goal deficit to knock off the Portland Timber 3-2 on the road in a Cascadia Cup clash.


At San Jose, California:


Javier Lopez (47'), Benjamin Kikanovic (53'), Chris Wondolowski (59'), and Carlos Fierro (85') each scored a second-half goal as the San Jose Earthquakes stayed in the playoff race by demolishing visiting Austin FC 4-0.
