The Sounders' defeat locked up the Supporters' Shield for the New England Revolution (the first in their 26-year history).
At Columbus, Ohio:
Sean Nealis scored the game winner at 87 minutes as the New York Red Bulls delivered a crippling blow to Columbus' playoff chances by upending the Crew 2-1 on the road.
At New York:
Valentin Castellanos scored twice (7', 11') as New York City nuked visiting DC United 6-0.
The six goals are a CityZens single-game record.
At Chester, Pennsylvania:
Kacper Przybylko converted a penalty kick in the 18th minute for the lone goal of the match as the Philadelphia Union defeated visiting Nashville 1-0.
At Toronto:
Jozy Altidore came through for Toronto FC as his stoppage-time equalizer (90'+5) carried the Reds to a 1-1 home draw with Montreal.
Sunusi Ibrahim scored for the ex-Impact at 55 minutes.
At Chicago:
Robert Beric's goal in the 45th minute carried the Chicago Fire to a 1-0 home triumph at Real Salt Lake's expense.
At Fort Lauderdale, Florida:
The Higuain brothers each scored once----Federico in the sixth minute and Gonzalo in the 53rd-----as Inter Miami demolished visiting FC Cincinnati 5-1 to keep their flickering playoff chances alive.
At Saint Paul, Minnesota:
Osvaldo Alonso's equalizer in the 65th minute carried Minnesota United to a 1-1 home draw with the Los Angeles Football Club.
Cristian Arango continued his fine work for the Angelinos by scoring in the 32nd minute.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Dominique Bahdi (45'+2) and Diego Rubio (63') each scored once as the Colorado Rapids locked up a playoff berth by blanking the visiting Portland Timbers 2-0
At Carson, California:
Javier Chicharito Hernandez (PK-65') and Sebastian Lletget (83') each scored once as the Los Angeles Galaxy battled back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 home draw with FC Dallas.
Jesus Ferreira (30') and Franco Jara (41') each tallied once for the Hoops.
At San Jose, California:
Benji Kikanovic's equalizer in the 60th minute enabled the San Jose Earthquakes to gain a 1-1 home draw with Vancouver as the hosts' playoff chances remain on life support.
Bruno Gaspar scored for the Whitecaps at 53 minute.
