MLS: Timbers, ex-Impact, Revs, Sounders, Quakes, LAFC Gather Sunday Victories

 Eight games were on the Sunday Major League Soccer schedule.


At Portland, Oregon:


Santiago Moreno (PK-38') and Dairon Asprilla (PK-82') each converted a penalty kick as the Portland Timbers held off visiting Atlanta United 2-1 for their third successive victory.


At Washington:


DC United and the visiting Colorado Rapids battled to a 0-0 stalemate.


At Toronto:


Alistair Johnson knocked in the game-winning goal in the 54th minute as Montreal knocked off hosts Toronto FC 4-3.


At Carson, California:


Chicharito scored twice (4', PK-88') as the Los Angeles Galaxy salvaged a 2-2 home draw with Sporting Kansas City.


Johnny Russell (PK-67') and Felipe Hernandez (76') each scored once for the visitors.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Jon Bell (12'), Noel Buck (33'), and Thomas McNamara (66') each scored once as the New England Revolution blindsided visiting New York City 3-0.


At Seattle:


Fredy Montero scored the game winner at 76 minutes as the Seattle Sounders upended the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.


At San Jose, California:


Jeremy Ebobisse (4') and Jamiro Alvarenga (34') each scored once in the opening half as the San Jose Earthquakes blanked the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0.


At Los Angeles:


Ryan Hollingshead (49') and Cristian Arango (68') each scored once as the Los Angeles Football Club blanked visiting Real Salt Lake 2-0.
