Late Own Goal Gains Road Draw For Hoops; Timbers Unbeaten Run Now At Ten Games

 At Providence Park, Portland, Oregon:

Diego Chara's own goal on literally the final play of the game (90'+10) lifted FC Dallas to a bizarre 1-1 home draw with the Portland Timbers in Saturday night Major League Soccer action.

Earlier in second-half stoppage time, after Dallas' Matt Hedges was yellow-carded for a handball foul in his club's penalty area, Hoops goalkeeper Maarten Paes saved Marvin Loria's penalty kick, but Marvelous Marvin took the rebound and put the Timbers on the scoreboard (90'+6)

The Timbers, whose unbeaten run has now stretched to ten games, and who now occupy the Western Conference's final playoff berth, will visit Toronto FC on Saturday at 4:30 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest/ESPN+/KXTG Radio-750 AM, Portland)
