Timbers Blanked By Ten-Man Rapids

Diego Rubio (30') and Mark-Anthony Kaye (90'+6) each scored once on Saturday as the Colorado Rapids blanked the visiting Portland Timbers 2-0 despite playing the final half-hour with ten men (the aforementioned Mr. Rubio was assessed with his second yellow card and was ejected in the 63rd minute).

Jason Vosler had a home run while Darin Ruf had three hits on Saturday as the San Francisco Giants (14-7) overpowered the visiting Washington Nationals (7-16) 9-3.


Stallions Hold Off Breakers To Become USFL's Last Unbeaten Club

The Birmingham Stallions (3-0) outdistanced the New Orleans Breakers (2-1)  22-13 on Saturday to become the United States Football League's last undefeated club.
