Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the match in the 70th minute as Manchester City took the opening game of their series with Atletico Madrid 1-0 at home

At Estadio da Luz, Lisbon:

Sadio Mane scored the game-winning goal at 34 minutes as Liverpool took the opening match of their series with SL Benfica 3-1 on the road.

At Bala, Wales:

Nathan Peate's equalizer in the 53rd minute on Tuesday gained Bala Town a 1-1 Welsh Premier League championship home draw with The New Saints.

Jordan Williams scored in the second minute for the league leaders.

CONCACAF Champions League:  Pumas Take Semifinal Opener

At Olympic University Stadium, Mexico City:

Juan Dinenno scored twice in the first half (37', 45'+2) on Tuesday as UNAM Pumas defeated Cruz Azul 2-1 in Tuesday's opening game in a semifinal-round series in the CONCACAF Champions League.
