NCAA Tourney:  It's Kansas vs. North Carolina For The Marbles


Both games of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament were played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.


In the opener, David McCormack scored 25 points (and grabbed nine rebounds) while Ochai Agbaji added 21 as the Kansas Jayhawks (#1 seed Midwest; 33-6) cruised past the Villanova Wildcats (#2 South; 30-8) 81-65.


In the nightcap, Caleb Love scored 28 points as the North Carolina Tar Heels (#8 East; 29-9) knocked off the Duke Blue Devils (#2 West; 32-7) 81-77 in a thriller.


Paolo Banchero topped the Blue Devils with 20 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.


This was Mike Krzyzewski's final game as Duke's men's head basketball coach; he finished with 1202 wins against 368 defeats.


Coach K retires with a record of 50-48 against the Tar Heels.


Devils Blow Four-Goal, Fall At Home To Panthers In OT


At Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, Gustav Forsling scored twice, once at 1:45 of overtime, as the Florida Panthers overcame a four-goal deficit to knock off the New Jersey Devils 7-6 on the road.


Aleksander Barkov also scored twice for the Panthers, who moved to sole possession of the top spot in the Eastern Conference.


For the already-eliminated Devils, Yegor Sharangovich scored his first-career NHL hat trick.

Myron Boadu scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute as AS Monaco knocked off relegation-threatened Metz 2-1 in French Ligue 1 action.


At Glasgow, Scotland:


In the latest renewal of the Old Firm rivalry, Cameron Carter-Vickers scored the winning goal in the 42nd minute as Celtic came from behind to upend hosts Rangers 2-1 in Scottish Premiership action.


At Wals-Siezenheim, Austria:


Zlatko Junuzovic came through for Austrian Bundesliga-leading FC Red Bull Salzburg with his wining goal at the death (90'+4) as the Red Bulls defeated visiting Rapid Vienna 2-1.


At Brussels, Belgium:


Christian Kouame got the scoring started at 19 minutes as RSC Anderlecht demolished visiting Sporting Charleroi 4-0 in Belgian First Division A action.


At Lisbon, Portugal:


In action from the Portuguese Primeria Liga, Pablo Sarabia (PK-20') and Nuno Santos (72') each scored once as Sporting CP blanked visiting Pacos Ferreira 2-0 as the Lions all but clinched a berth in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League's group stage.
