C.J.McCallum scored 23 points on Thursday as the New Orleans Pelicans (36-44) all but locked up hosting a game in the playoffs' preliminary round after their 127-94 beatdown of the visiting Portland Trail Blazers (27-53), who have now dropped nine straight games and 19 of 21 since the All-Star Break.
