SPORTS:
The UEFA Champions League's Round of 16 resumed on Tuesday as Liverpool (despite dropping a 1-0 game-two home decision to Inter Milan) and Bayern Munich (who pulverized visiting FC Red Bull Salzburg 7-1, aided by a Robert Lewandowski hat trick---two of their goals coming on converted penalty kicks) advanced to the quarterfinal round, winning their respective series 2-1 and 8-2 on aggregate.
The Seattle Sounders (3-0 over visiting Club Leon) and New York City (3-1 over Comunicaciones at East Hartford, Connecticut) took the opening games of their respective CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the New Jersey Devils overcame a three-goal deficit and upended the visiting Colorado Avalanche 5-3 in Tuesday NHL action.
