DAWGS OVERCOME TIDE, WIN FIRST NATIONAL FOOTBALL TITLE SINCE 1980

Quarterback Stetson Bennett IV completed 17 of 26 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns while Kelee Ringo ran back an intercepted Bryce Young pass 79 yards for the game-icing TD on Monday night as the third-seeded Georgia Bulldogs (14-1) overcame the top-seeded defending champions Alabama Crimson Tide (13-2) 33-18 for their first national title since 1980.
