UEFA Champions League, Group A: Citizens Prove Too Much For Club Brugge; RB Leipzig Knocked Out After Home Draw With PSG

 Group-stage play  in the UEFA Champions League continued on Wednesday with eight games, two of them in Group A.


Both were set to kick off at 1:00 PM Pacific Time and streamed live on Paramount+.


At Leipzig, Germany:


Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice (21', 39') to help Paris Saint-Germain gain a 2-2 road draw with RB Liepzig.


Christopher Nkunku (9') and Dominik Szoboszlai (PK-90'+2) scored once apiece for the German club, now eliminated from the tournament.


At Manchester, England:


Philip Foden (15'), Riyad Mahrez (54'), Raheem Sterling (72'), and Gabriel Jesus (90'+2) each scored once as Manchester City dominated visiting Club Brugge 4-1.

1.    Manchester City (GP: 4; GD: +8; PTS: 9)

2.    Paris Saint-Germain (GP: 4; GD: +3; PTS: 8)

3.    Club Brugg (GP: 4; GD: -6; PTS: 4)

4. z-RB Leipzig (GP: 4; GD: -5; PTS: 1)


z-Eliminated from Champions League contention by still alive for transfer to Europa League
