MLS: Wednesday Wins For Montreal, ATX, Timbers; Goose Eggs For Red Bulls and Five Stripes

 Four games were contested in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.


At Montreal:


Rudy Camacho (58') and Kamal Miller (62') each scored a second-half goal four minutes apart as CF Montreal kept their playoff chances alive by blanking the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-0.


At Harrison, New Jersey:


The New York Red Bulls and visiting Atlanta United battled to a hard-fought 0-0 stalemate.


At Austin, Texas:


Sebastian Driussi (1'), Julio Cascante (22'), and Jared Stroud (60') each scored once as Austin FC knocked off visiting Sporting Kansas City 3-1 to assure themselves of avoiding finishing in the Western Conference basement in their inaugural season.


At Sandy, Utah:


Sebastian Blanco scored twice (17', 45') as the Portland Timbers held off Real Salt Lake 3-1 on the road to assure themselves of hosting an opening-round playoff games.
