MLB Playoffs: Brewers, Giants Grab NL Divisional Playoff Series Openers

Both National League divisional playoff series opened on Friday.


At Milwaukee:


Rowdy Tellez smacked a two-run homer in the seventh inning as the Milwaukee Brewers took the opening game of their divisional playoff series with the Atlanta Braves 2-1 at home.


At San Francisco:


Logan Webb pitched 8 and 2/3 solid innings as he and relief men Tyler Rogers and Camelo Doval combined on a five-hit shutout as the San Francisco Giants handcuffed the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 5-0 in their series opener.


Buster Poses hit a two-run homer in the first inning while Kris Bryant and Brandon Crawford each delivered a solo shot in the seventh and eighth innings respectively.
