MLB Playoffs: Astros Find Themselves One Win Away From League Championship Series While BoSox Level Series With Rays

Both American League divisional playoff series continued on Friday.


At Houston:


Carlos Correa hit a two-run double as the Houston Astros scored five runs in the seventh inning en route to a 9-4 home victory over the Chicago White Sox in game two of their divisional playoff series.


The Astros, up two games to none, can lock up the series with a game-three victory in  Chicago on Sunday (5:07 PM Pacific Time, Sox Sports 1).


At St. Petersburg, Florida:


A three-run homer from J.D. Martinez (one of a franchise postseason-record five round-trippers in a single game) helped the Boston Red Sox overcome a three-run deficit and overpower the homestanding Tampa Bay Rays 14-6 in game two and leveled their divisional playoff series at one game apiece.
