MLB Playoffs: Pale Hose Avoid Sweep Against Astros; Red Sox Overcome Rays in 13 Innings

 Both American League divisional playoff series resumed on Sunday.


At Boston:


Christian Vazquez's homer in the 13th inning propelled the Boston Red Sox to a 6-4 game-three home victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.


The Red Sox, now two games to one, can knock out the defending American League champions with a game-four victory at home at Fenway Park on Monday (4:07 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports 1)


At Chicago:


Leury Garcia and Yasmani Grandal each smacked a home run as the Chicago White Sox erased an early 5-1 deficit and overpowered the visiting Houston Astros 12-6 in game three of their divisional playoff series, which the Astros still lead two games to one.
