Both National League divisional playoff series resumed on Monday.
At Cumberland, Georgia:
Joc Pederson delivered a three-run pinch-hit home run in the fifth inning as the Atlanta Braves blanked the visiting Milwaukee Brewers 3-0 in game three of their divisional playoff series.
The Braves, now leading two games to one, can advance to the National League Championship Series by beating the Brewers again in Milwaukee on Tuesday (2:15 PM Pacific Time, TBS)
At Los Angeles:
Evan Longoria's home run in the fifth inning provided the only run of the game as the San Francisco Giants, despite being limited to three base hits, held off the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 in game three of their divisional playoff series, which they now lead two games to one.
Four pitchers---Alex Wood, Tyler Rogers (credited with the win), Jake McGee, and Camilo Doval----combined on a five-hit shutout.
The Giants can finish off the defending World Series champions with another victory in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (6:07 PM Pacific Time, TBS).
