At Bratislava, Slovakia:
Rafael Ratao scored twice (28', 47') as Slovan Bratislava blanked visiting Shamrock Rovers 2-0 in their series opener.
At Malmo, Sweden:
Antonio-Mirko Colak scored the only goal of the match in the 50th minute as Malmo FF defeated visiting Riga 1-0 in their series-opening contest.
At Bodo, Norway:
Mahir Emreli scored twice (41', 61') as Legia Warsaw took the measure of Bodo/Glimt 2-1 on the road in game one.
At Aberystwyth, Wales:
David Khurtsidze scored twice (21', 45') to help Alashkert gain a 2-2 series-opening road draw with Connah's Quay Nomads.
Craig Curran (19') and George Horan (79') each scored once for the Nomads.
At Durres, Albania:
Luvannor Henrique de Sousa Silva scored twice (15', 45'+1) as FC Sheriff arrested Teuta 4-0 on the road in their series opener.
At Tbilisi, Georgia:
Emin Mahmudov converted a penalty kick in the 57th minute for the game-winning goal as Neftci Baku upended Dinamo Tbilisi 2-1 on the road in their series-opening contest.
At Haifa, Israel:
Nuraly Alip's equalizer in the 76th minute lifted Kairat to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Maccabi Haifa.
Omir Atzill scored for the Green Apes at 45 minutes.
At Razgrad, Bulgaria:
Cauly Oliveira Souza's goal at the death (90'+2) carried Ludogorets Razgrad to a series-opening 1-0 home victory over Shakhtyor Soligorsk.
At Zagreb, Croatia:
Arijan Ademi scored twice (8', 72') as Dinamo Zagreb held off visiting Valur 3-2 in their series opener.
