Europa Conference League Qualifying: The Road To Tirane Begins

 33 games were contested this week (three on Tuesday, the other 30 on Thursday) as the first qualifying round for the inaugural Europa Conference League commenced.


At Tallinn, Estonia:


Early goals from Zakaria Beglarishvili (2') and Ernest Agyiri (9') helped ten-man FCI Levadia to a series-opening 3-1 home victory over St. Joseph's.


At Turku, Finland:


Jakub Plsek's equalizer in the 76th minute lifted Puskas Akademia to a 1-1 game-one road draw with Inter Turku.


Benjamin Kallman scored for the Black and Blues in the 59th minute.


At Pristina, Kosovo:


Marko Simonovski scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as Drita defeated visiting Decic 2-1 in their series opener.


At Marijampole, Lithuania:


Successful penalty kicks from Nicolas Gorobsov (27') and Alexandros Gangalatzidis (90'+5) carried FK Suduva to a 2-1 series-opening home victory over Valmeira.


At Ta'Qali, Malta:


Yannick Yankham scored the only goal of Birkirkara's series-opening 1-0 home triumph over La Fiorita in the 14th minute.

At Gibraltar (Tuesday):


On Tuesday, Aritz Hernandez's equalizer in the 81st minute lifted Mons Calpe to a 1-1 game-one home draw with FC Santa Coloma.


Xavier Bellart scored for the Andorran club in the 39th minute.


At Ta'Qali, Malta (Tuesday):


Johnson Nsumoh scored the winning goal in the 35th minute as Mosta raced out to a 3-0 lead only to hang on for a 3-2 game-one victory over visiting Spartak Trnava.


At Podgorica, Montenegro (Tuesday):


Jovan Vujovic converted a penalty kick in the 57th minute for the only goal of FK Podgorica's 1-0 series opening victory over visiting KF Faci.


At Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:


Ubiratan Brandao scored twice (PK-37', PK-66') as Velez Mostar defeated visiting Coleraine 2-1 in their series-opening match.


At Domzale, Slovenia:


Andraz Zinic scored the lone goal of NK Domzale's series-opening 1-0 victory over Swift Hesperange of Luxembourg.


At Skopje, North Macedonia:


Kire Markoski (36') and Abdul Rwatubyaye (90'+4) each scored once as Shkupi blanked visiting Liapi 2-0 in game one.


At Serravalle, San Marino:


Giorgi Pantsulaia got the scoring started in the eighth minute as Dinamo Batumi scored three times in the first 20 minutes en route to a 4-0 series-opening road demolition of Tre Penne.


At Elbasan, Albania:


Lucas Ferreira Cardoso (17', 85') and Stenio Junior (26', 61') each scored twice (with each scoring once in each half) as Partizani Tirana dominated visiting Stintul Gheorghe 5-2 in their series-opening game.


At Maribor, Slovenia:


Nino Zugelj scored the lone goal of the game in the 56th minute as NK Maribor defeated visiting Urartu 1-0 in their series opener.


At Orhei, Moldova:


The opening match between Milsami Orhei and visiting FK Sarajevo ended in a 0-0 stalemate.


At Yerevan, Armenia:


Anton Popovitch's own goal carried FC Noah to a 1-0 series-opening victory over visiting KuPS.


At Zilina, Slovakia:


David Duris scored twice (25', 64') as MSK Zilina demolished visiting Dila Gori 5-1 in their series curtain-raiser.


At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:


Steven Lennon scored the game's only goal in the 85th minute as FH Hafnarfjordur defeated visiting Sligo Rovers 1-0 in their series opener.


At Parnu, Estonia:


Mark Tamas scored the game winner in the 89th minute as Slask Wroclaw upended Paide Linnameeskond 2-1 in game one of their two-match series.


At Jurmala, Latvia:


Heini Vatnsdal scored the game winner at 70 minutes as KI knocked off Rigas 3-2 on the road in their series opener.


At Oswestry, England:


David McDaid's goal in the second minute stood up as Larne FC knocked off Bala Town 1-0 on the road in game one.


At Szekesfehervar, Hungary:


Dimitrije Pobulic's equalizer at the death (90'+3) lifted Ararat Yerevan to a 1-1 game-one road draw with Fefervar.


Marcel Heister scored for the hosts in the 84th minute.


At Podgorica, Montenegro:


Marko Vukovic's goal in the 17th minute was good enough for Sutjeska as the hosts downed visiting Gagra 1-0 in their series opener.


At Skopje, Macedonia:


Sergiu Platica's equalizer (45'+4) carried Petroclub Hincesti to a series-opening 1-1 road deadlock with Sileks.


Kristijan Dodevski scored for the Kratovo Boys in the fifth minute.

Tyreke Wilson's equalizer in the 63rd minute lifted Bohemians of the Republic of Ireland to a 1-1 game-one road draw with Stjarnan.


Emil Atlason scored for the hosts at 25 minutes.


At Belfast, Northern Ireland:


Jamie McDonagh's equalizer in the 82nd minute carried Glentoran to a 1-1 series-opening home stalemate with The New Saints.
