Stanley Cup Playoffs: Habs One Win Away From First Semifinal Appearance Since 2014; Knights Square Series With Avalanche At 2-2

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with two games. 


NORTH DIVISION FINAL:


At Montreal:


Joel Armia scored twice (both shorthanded---one of them an empty netter) while Carey Price saved 26 of 27 shots as the Montreal Canadiens overpowered the visiting Winnipeg Jets 5-1 in game three of their divisional final series.


The Canadiens, up three games to none, can go for the sweep (and their first appearance in the semifinals since 2014) by beating the Jets again at home on Monday (5:00 PM, NHL Network/NBCSN).




WEST DIVISION FINAL:


At Paradise, Nevada:


Jonathan Marchessault produced his first career playoff hat trick (one of the goals came on the power play) while Marc-Andre Fleury saved 17 of 18 shots as the Vegas Golden Knights squared their series with the Colorado Avalanche at two games apiece after their 5-1 home victory in game four.
