Stanley Cup Playoffs: Canes Cut Lightning Series Advantage With OT Victory; Bruins Take 2-1 Series Lead On Islanders

 The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Thursday with two games.


CENTRAL DIVISION FINAL:


At Tampa, Florida:


Jordan Staal scored the game-winning power-play goal at 5:57 of overtime as the Carolina Hurricanes cut their series deficit to two games to one after their 3-2 game-three road victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.




EAST DIVISION FINAL:


At Uniondale, New York:


Brad Marchand scored the game winner 3:36 into overtime as the Boston Bruins took a two-games-to-one advantage over the New York Islanders with a 2-1 game-three road victory.


Tuuka Rask saved 28 of 29 shots for the victory.
