The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Monday with two games.
NORTH DIVISION:
At Toronto:
Brendan Gallagher, Corey Perry (power play), and Tyler Toffoli (empty net) each scored once while Carey Price saved 29 of 30 shots as the Montreal Canadiens knocked off the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 on the road in game seven as the Habs came back from a three-games-to-one deficit and knocked out the Leafs four games to three, continuing Toronto's cup championship drought (they last won the title in 1967 at the end of the Six-Team Era).
The Canadiens will next take on the Winnipeg Jets in the North Division final, set to open on Wednesday at Winnipeg (4:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN)
EAST DIVISION:
At Boston:
Casey Cizikas scored the winning goal at 14:48 of overtime as the New York Islanders leveled their divisional final series with the Boston Bruins at one game apiece after their 4-3 game-two road victory.
