The NBA Playoffs continued on Wednesday with four games.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Philadelphia:
Seth Curry scored 30 points while Tobias Harris added 28 (to go with his nine rebounds) as the Philadelphia 76ers held off the visiting Washington Wizards 129-112 in game five of their conference quarterfinal series, which they wrapped up four games to one.
Bradley Beal topped the Wizards with 32 points while Russell Westbrook added 24 (while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out ten assists) and Rui Hachimura 21.
At New York:
Trae Young scored 36 points and dished out nine assists as the Atlanta Hawks knocked out the New York Knicks with a 103-89 road victory in game five of their conference quarterfinal series, which they won four games to one.
Julius Randle topped the Knickerbockers with 23 points while grabbing 13 boards.
The Hawks will face the Philadelphia 76ers in an Eastern Conference semifinal series, set to open in Philadelphia on Sunday (10:00 AM Pacific Time, ABC).
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Salt Lake City, Utah:
Donovan Mitchell (who dished out ten assists), Jordan Clarkson (off the bench), and Rudy Gobert (who pulled in 15 rebounds), scored 30, 24, 23 points respectively as the Utah Jazz overpowered the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 126-110 in game five of their conference quarterfinal series, which they won four games to one.
Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant (eleven assists) topped the now-eliminated Grizzlies with 27 points apiece.
At Los Angeles:
Luka Doncic scored 42 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out 14 assists as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 105-100 in game five of their series.
Tim Hardaway, Jr. helped the Mavs' cause with 20 points.
Paul George scored 23 points to top the Clips (while grabbing ten rebounds) while Reggie Jackson (not THAT one) and Kawhi Leonard each scored 20 points for the hosts, who have lost all five games in this series.
The Mavericks, now up three games to one, can close out the series back home in Dallas on Friday (6:00 PM Pacific Time, ESPN).
