Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning, Avalanche Score Series-Opening Victories

 The Stanley Cup Playoffs continue on Sunday with two divisional semifinal games.


CENTRAL DIVISION:


At Raleigh, North Carolina:


Brayden Point (power play) and Barclay Goodrow each scored once while Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 37 of 38 shots as the Tampa 
Bay Lightning
seized home-ice advantage in the East Division final after their 2-1 game-one road victory.




WEST DIVISION:


At Denver:


Gabriel Landeskog and Nathan MacKinnon each scored twice (with the former scoring once on the power play) while Philipp Makar stopping 24 of 25 shots as the Colorado Avalanche opened the West Division final by destroying the visiting Vegas Golden Knights 7-1.
