Four games were contested on Sunday as the NBA Playoffs continued.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Atlanta:
Trae Young scored 27 points and dished out nine assists as the Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting New York Knicks 113-96 in game four of their conference quarterfinal series.
John Collins (who grabbed eight rebounds) and Danilo Gallinari (who came off the bench) added 22 and 21 points respectively to the Hawks' coffers.
Julius Randle topped the Knicks with 23 points to go with his ten rebounds.
R.J. Barrett added 21 points to the New York cause.
The Hawks, now up three games to one, can close out the Knickerbockers with a game-five win in New York on Wednesday (4:30 PM Pacific Time, TNT).
At Boston:
Kevin Durant scored 42 points while Kyrie Irving added 39 (to go with his eleven rebounds) as the Brooklyn Nets downed the Boston Celtics 141-126 on the road in game five of their conference quarterfinal series.
James Harden added 23 points (to go with his 18 assists) to the Nets' coffers.
Jayson Tatum topped the Celtics with 40 points.
The Nets, now up three games to one, can finish off the C's with a gave five win back in Brooklyn on Tuesday (4:30 PM Pacific Time, TNT)
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Los Angeles:
Chris Paul scored 18 points and dished out nine assists while Jae Crowder and Devin Booker each notched 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Phoenix Suns, with six players, including all five starters, scoring in double figures en route to a series-tying 100-92 game-four road victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
LeBron James topped the Lakers with 25 points while grabbing 12 assists.
This conference quarterfinal series is now deadlocked at two games apiece.
At Dallas:
Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points and grabbed ten rebounds while Paul George added 20 (to go with his nine boards) as the Los Angeles Clippers leveled their series with the Dallas Mavericks at two games apiece after their 106-81 road domination in game four.
