Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point each scored twice (with the latter scoring two power play goals and the latter one) as the Tampa Bay Lightning seized home-ice advantage after their 5-4 series-opening road victory over the Florida Panthers.

EAST DIVISION:

At Pittsburgh:

Kyle Palmieri's second goal of the game won it for the New York Islanders at 16:30 of overtime as the Islanders grabbed the opening game of their series with the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-4 on the road.

WEST DIVISION:

At Paradise, Nevada:

Joel Eriksson Ek scored the only goal of the game at 3:20 of overtime as the Minnesota Wild, like the Lightning and Islanders, seized home-ice advantage in their series after their 1-0 game-one road win over the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Wild's Cam Talbot saved all 42 shots for the victory while his counterpart Marc-Andre Fleury was the hard-luck loser despite saving 29 of 30 shots.
