Stanley Cup Playoffs: Habs Force Game Seven With Leafs; Islanders To Open Series With Bruins In Beantown

 The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Saturday with two games.


EAST DIVISION:


At Boston:


David Pasternak produced a hat trick (one of his goals was on the power play) as the Boston Bruins, in the opening game of the Playoffs' second round, overpowered the visiting New York Islanders 5-2 in the opening contest of the East Division final.



NORTH DIVISION:


At Montreal:


Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored the winning goal at 15:15 of overtime as the Montreal Canadiens knocked off the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 in game six of the only opening-round playoff series still in progress, now deadlocked at three games apiece.


The series will be decided in Toronto on Monday (4:00 PM Pacific Time, CNBC).
