The Round of 16 in the NBA Playoffs commenced on Saturday with four games.
All series are best-of-seven from here on out.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Milwaukee:
Khris Middleton (who scored 27 points) scored the game-winning bucket with one-half of one second remaining in overtime as the Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the visiting Miami Heat 109-107 in the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series.
Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks with 26 points and 18 rebounds.
Jrue Holiday added 20 points and 11 rebounds to the Milwaukee coffers.
Goran Dracic came off the bench to top the Heat with 25 points while Duncan Robinson added 20.
At Brooklyn, New York:
Kevin Durant scored 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Brooklyn Nets took the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series 104-93 over the visiting Boston Celtics.
Kyrie Irving added 29 points to the Nets' coffers while James Harden contributed 21 points (as well as nine rebounds and eight assists) to the Brooklyn effort.
Jayson Tatum paced the Celtics with 22 points.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Los Angeles:
Luka Doncic scored 32 points, grabbed ten rebounds, and dished out eleven assists for a triple-double as the Dallas Mavericks opened their series with the Los Angeles Clippers with a 113-103 road victory.
Tim Hardaway, Jr. added 21 points to the Mavericks' cause.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George paced the Clippers with 26 and 23 points respectively, with the former grabbing ten boards.
At Denver:
Damian Lillard scored 34 points and dished out 13 assists as the Portland Trail Blazers upended the Denver Nuggets 123-109 on the road in the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series.
C.J. McCollum added 21 points to the Blazers' coffers.
Nikola Jokic topped the Nuggets with 34 points while grabbing 16 rebounds; Michael Porter, Jr. added 25 points and nine rebounds to the Denver coffers.
