Anderson Julio scored twice (31', 41') as Real Salt Lake opened their season by knocking off Minnesota United 2-1 on the road.

Brandon Hines-Ike's own goal in the 48th minute proved decisive as the New England Revolution defeated visiting DC United 1-0.
At Chester, Pennsylvania:
Gonzalo Higuain (73') and Federico Higuain (83') each scored once as Inter Miami knocked off the Philadelphia Union 2-1 on the road.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Cecilio Dominguez scored twice (67', 71') as Austin FC knocked off the Colorado Rapids 3-1 on the road for their first-ever league victory.
Diego Fagundez scored the expansion club's first-ever goal in the 60th minute.
At Portland, Oregon:
Christhian Paredes recovered from scoring an own goal (28') by scoring the winning goal at 73 minutes for the Portland Timbers as they defeated the Houston Dynamo 2-1 in their home opener.
