Europa League: Man U, Roma, Yellow Sub Take Series Openers; Gunners Held To 1-1 Home Draw By Slavia

 The quarterfinal round of the Europa League opened with four games on Thursday.


At Granada, Spain:


Marcus Rashford (31') and Bruno Fernandes (PK-90') each scored once as Manchester United blanked Granada 2-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.


At London:


Tomas Holes' equalizer at the death (90'+4) carried Slavia Prague to a 1-1 series-opening road draw with Arsenal.

Nicolas Pepe scored for the Gunners at 86 minutes.


At Amsterdam, Netherlands:


Roger Ibanez scored the game winner in the 87th minute as AS Roma came from behind to steal a series-opening 2-1 road victory against Ajax Amsterdam.


At Zagreb, Croatia:


Gerard converted a 44th-minute penalty kick for the winning goal as Villarreal defeated Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 on the road in game one.
