FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CONCACAF): El Salvador, Canada, Curacao, Panama, Haiti, Soca Warriors Garner Thursday Wins

 The opening round of FIFA World Cup qualifying from the CONCACAF region continued on Thursday with six games.


GROUP A:


At San Salvador, El Salvador:


Gerson Mayen (23') and David Rugamas (46') each scored once as El Salvador blanked visiting Grenada 2-0.




GROUP B:


At Orlando, Florida (due to COVID-19 travel restrictions between the United States and Canada):


Cyle Larin produced a hat trick (19', 27', 69') as Canada demolished Bermuda 5-1.




GROUP C:


At Willemstad, Curacao:


Juninho Bacuna scored twice (1', 35') as Curacao destroyed visiting Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 5-0.




GROUP D:


At Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic:


Jair Catuy scored the only goal of the match as Panama defeated Barbados 1-0.




GROUP E:


At Port-au-Prince, Haiti:


Ricardo Ade (50') and Steven Seance (81') each scored once as Haiti blanked visiting Belize 2-0.




GROUP F:


At San Cristobal, Dominican Republic:


Levi Garcia (7'), Sheldon Bateau (15'), and Ryan Telfer (44') each scored once in the first half as Trinidad and Tobago dominated Guyana 3-0.
