Derrick Etienne scored twice (89', 90'+3) in the final minutes as the Columbus Crew battled back to upend the visiting New York Red Bulls 2-1 to stay in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff hunt.
At Montreal:
Donovan Pines' own goal at 41 minutes carried Montreal to a 1-0 home win over DC United.
At San Jose, California:
Shea Salinas (52') and Benjamin Kikanovic (71') each scored once as the San Jose Earthquakes blanked visiting Minnesota United 2-0.
At Vancouver, British Columbia:
Ryan Gauld (7') and Lucas Cavallini (62') each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps stayed barely alive for a playoff berth after blanking visiting Austin FC 2-0.
At Carson, California:
Douglas Costa's successful penalty kick in the 68th minute lifted the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-1 home draw with Real Salt Lake, and a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Sergio Cordova scored for the guests in the 25th minute as RSL stayed alive for postseason play.
