MLS Cup Playoffs: NYC, Hoops Advance To Conference Semis

The opening round of the MLS Cup Playoffs concluded on Monday with two games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Citi Field, Flushing, New York:


Gabriel Pereira (63'), Maxi Morales (69'), and Heber (90'+2) each scored once as New York City dominated visiting Inter Miami 3-0.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas:


Facundo Quignon scored for FC Dallas in the 64th minute to tie their match with Minnesota United at 1-1, which was the score at the end of regulation and 30 scoreless overtime minutes before Franco Jara, Sebastian Lletget, Matt Hedges, Jesus Ferreira, and Alan Velasco all converted their spot kicks as the Hoops took out the visiting Loons 5-4 in the penalty-kick shootout.
