Europa Conference League: Start Of Second Half Of Group-Stage Play

The second half of Europa Conference League group-stage play commenced with sixteen contests on Thursday.


GROUP A:


At Istanbul, Turkey:


Stefano Okaka scored twice (45', 72') as Istanbul Basaksehir defeated visiting RFS 3-0.


At Florence, Italy:


Nicolas Gonzalez scored twice (32', PK-79') as Fiorentina demolished visiting Heart of Midlothian 5-1.

Filip Szymczak's equalizer in the 44th minute lifted Lech Poznan to a 1-1 road draw with Hapoel Beersheba.


Tomad Hemed converted a penalty kick for the hosts in the ninth minute.

It was the first-ever victory in a group-stage match in any European club tournament for a club from Lithuania.
