Jerami Grant scored 23 points and pulled in eight rebounds on Wednesday as the Portland Trail Blazers (1-0) opened their 53rd National Basketball League by upending the homestanding Sacramento Kings (0-1) 115-108.
Anfernee Simons added 22 points and Damian Lillard (his first game since January) 20 to the Blazers' coffers.
Portland had six players scoring in double figures.
Deaaron Fox paced the Kings with 33 points to go with his seven boards and seven assists.
Kevin Huerter added 23 points to the Kings' cause.
