ASTROS COMPLETE SWEEP, ADVANCE TO FOURTH WORLD SERIES IN SIX YEARS

 At Yankee Stadium, the Bronx, New York:


Jeremy Pena hit a home run in the first inning while Yordan Alvarez and Alex Bregman came up with key hits of their own on Sunday night as the Houston Astros held off the homestanding New York Yankees 6-5 to complete a four-game sweep of the American League Championship Series.


The Astros will play in their fourth World Series in the last six seasons and will host the series opener of their series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday on FOX.


The Astros will be gunning for their first title since 2017 while the Phillies will be seeking their first since 2008.
