Daniel Rios' goal in the fifth minute help up for Charlotte as the Crown knocked off visiting New York City 1-0 and completed a series sweep of the reigning MLS Cup champions.
At Nashville, Tennessee:
Riqui Puig's successful penalty kick at the death (90'+6) lifted the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-1 road draw with ten-man Nashville.
Hany Mukhtar, the Music City Men's one-man scoring machine, converted a penalty kick in the 29th minute.
At Harrison, New Jersey:
Lewis Morgan converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute for the game-winning goal as the New York Red Bulls upended the visiting New England Revolution 2-1.
At Atlanta:
A hat trick (47', 62', 88') from Juan Jose Purata kept Atlanta United's flickering playoff chances alive as they defeated visiting Toronto 4-2.
At Cincinnati:
Brenner Souza da Silva produced a hat trick (47', 90', 90'+5) as Cincinnati made mince meat of the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 6-0.
At Chester, Pennsylvania:
Joao Braganca Moutinho (OG-39'), Mikael Uhre (43'), Daniel Gazdag (PK-55') Alejandro Bedoya (63'), and Jack Elliot (87') each scored once as the Philadelphia Union, now leading the race for the Supporters' Shield, demolished visiting Orlando City 5-1.
At Chicago:
Jhon Duran scored twice (40', 87') as the Chicago Fire defeated visiting Inter Miami 3-1.
At Seattle:
Raul Ruidiaz scored twice (12', 34') as the Seattle Sounders dominated visiting Austin 3-0.
At Frisco, Texas:
Jesus Ferreira scored twice (78', 81') as FC Dallas came from behind to upend the visiting Los Angeles Football Club 2-1.
At Houston:
Sporting Kansas City held the homestanding, now-eliminated Houston Dynamo to a 0-0 stalemate.
At Commerce City, Colorado:
Diego Rubio's successful in the 33rd minute produced the game-winning goal at the Colorado Rapids downed the visiting Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1.
At Sandy, Utah:
Real Salt Lake and visiting DC United battled to a 0-0 deadlock, which eliminated the visitors from playoff contention.
At Portland, Oregon:
Dairon Asprilla scored the lone goal of the match in the 61st minute as the Portland Timbers held off visiting Minnesota United 1-0 for their fourth straight win.
