Giants Top Rockies Again, Keep Flickering Playoff Chances Alive

Joc Pederson hit his 23rd home run while Logan Webb struck out seven batters on Tuesday as the San Francisco Giants (76-78) kept their flickering playoff chances alive (with both Philadelphia and Milwaukee losing) by defeating the visiting Colorado Rockies (65-89) 5-2.


The Giants, who trailed the Phillies by 7.5 games for the final National League wild-card playoff spot with eight games remaining, have now won seven of their last eight starts.
