At Razgrad, Bulgaria:

Dino Peric (6') and Sergio Padt (OG-9') each scored once as Dinamo Zagreb took the opening match of their series with Ludogorets Razgrad by topping the hosts 2-1.

At Chisnau, Moldova (due to Transnistria's involvement in the Russian invasion of Ukraine):

Pavel Bucha scored the winning goal in the 55th minute as FC Viktoria Plzen knocked off FC Sheriff 2-1 on the in their series opener.

League Path:

At Fontvieille, Monaco:

Axel Disasi's equalizer at 80 minutes enabled AS Monaco to gain a series-opening 1-1 home draw with PSV Eindhoven.

Joey Veerman scored for the Dutch club in the 38th minute.

At Leuven, Belgium:

Teddy Teuma (27') and Dante Vanzeir (PK-76') each scored once as Union Saint-Gilloise blanked visiting Rangers 2-0 in their series-opening contest.

At Lisbon, Portugal:

A Goncalo Ramos hat trick (17', 33', 61') helped carried SL  Benfica to a series-opening 4-1 home triumph at FC Midtjylland's expense.
