Juan Jose Purata scored the game winner in the 70th minute as Atlanta United held off visiting DC United 3-2.

At Orlando, Florida:

Tesho Akindele scored the game winner in second-half stoppage time (90'+6) as Orlando City knocked off visiting New York City 2-1.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Daniel Aguirre (4') and Javier Chicharito Hernandez (15') each scored once during the opening quarter-hour as the Los Angeles Galaxy held off the homestanding New England Revolution 2-1.
