Cucho Hernandez (66', 72') scored both Crew goals.
At Bridgeview, Illinois (due to poor surface conditions at Soldier Field):
Gabriel Pereira dos Santos (16') and Santiago Rodriguez (46') each scored once as New York City blanked the Chicago Fire 2-0 on the road.
At Charlotte, North Carolina:
Tesho Akindele scored the game winner at 89 minutes as Orlando City picked up a critical road victory, 2-1 at Charlotte's expense.
At Kansas City, Kansas;
Walter Agada scored twice (31', 75') as Sporting Kansas City delivered a 4-1 beatdown on the visiting Portland Timbers
At Nashville, Tennessee:
Hany Mukhtar scored twice (5', 33') as Nashville demolished visiting FC Dallas 4-0.
