Europa League Playoff Round

 The Europa League's playoff round commenced on Thursday with ten games.


At Kosice, Slovakia (due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine):


Hrvoje Milicevic scored the game winner in the 29th minute as AEK Larnaca upended SC Dnipro-1 2-1 on the road in their series opener.


At Ghent, Belgium:


Charlalambos Charlalabous (19') and Brandon Barker (76') each scored once as Omonia blanked homestanding KAA Gent 2-0 in their series opener.


At Vienna, Austria:


Joshua King (8') and Serder Durson (89') each scored once as Fenerbahce took the opening game of their series with Austria Vienna 2-0 on the road.


At St. Gallen, Switzerland:


Blerim Dzemali scored the winning goal at 34 minutes as FC Zurich took the opening match of their series with Heart of Midlothian by beating the visiting Scottish club 2-1.


At Helsinki, Finland:


David Browne scored the game's lone goal in the 80th minute as HJK Helsinki took the opening match of their series with Denmark's ten-man Silkeborg 1-0 at home.


At Malmo, Sweden:


Anders Christensen scored the winning goal in the 37th minute as Malmo FF topped visiting Sivasspor in their series opener 3-1.


At Budapest, Hungary:


Adama Traore scored twice (35', 48') as Fenercvaros opened their series with Shamrock Rovers by demolishing the visitors 4-0.


At Nicosia, Cyprus:


Hwang In-beom's equalizer at 29 minutes carried Olympiacos to a series-opening 1-1 road deadlock with Apollon Limassol.


Rangelo Janga scored for the Cypriot club in the 18th minute.


At Yerevan, Armenia:


The opening contest between Yerevan and visiting FC Sheriff ended in a 0-0 stalemate.


At Razgrad, Bulgaria:


Ivan Tatomirovic's own goal in the second minute held up as Ludogoretz Razgrad defeated visiting Zalgiris 1-0 in their series opener.
