Stanley Cup Playoffs: Avalanche One Win Away From First Final Since 2001

Valeri Nichushkin scored twice and J.T. Compher once on Saturday as the Colorado Avalanche doubled up the homestanding Edmonton Oilers 4-2 in game three of the Western Conference Final.
The Avalanche, now up three games to none, can complete the four-game sweep and advance to their first Stanley Cup Final since 2001 (when they knocked off the New Jersey Devils for the crown) with a game-four win on Monday in Edmonton.

Andriy Yarmolenko's own goal in the 34th minute proved decisive on Sunday as Wales qualified for their first World Cup since 1958 after defeating visiting Ukraine 1-0 to win a European qualifying final.
The Dragons will be in Group B alone with the United States (who will be their first opponent, on November 21), England, and Iran.
