NBA Playoffs: Jazz, Timberwolves, 76ers, Warriors Take Series Openers
The Round of 16 in the NBA Playoffs opened on Saturday with four games.
All series from this point on are best of seven.
EASTERN CONFERENCE:
At Philadelphia:
Tyrese Maxey scored 38 points, while Tobias Harris added 26 and James Harden 22 (to go with his 14 assists) as the Philadelphia 76ers overpowered the visiting Toronto Raptors 131-111 in the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series.
Joel Embiid added 19 points to the Sixers' coffers while grabbing 15 rebounds.
Pascal Siakam scored 24 points while Og Anunoby added 20 to pace the Raptors.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Dallas:
Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points while Bojan Bogdanovic added 26 as the Utah Jazz seized home-court advantage in their series after their game-one 99-93 road win over the Dallas Mavericks.
Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie top the Mavs with 24 and 22 points respectively; the former grabbed seven rebounds, the latter dished out eight assists.
